As a Registered Nurse Field Assessor (FA), you will complete Long Term Care insurance assessments. These hands-off assessments require you to obtain claimant demographics, physician information, a current medication list, and evaluate the claimant’s functional level of independence. The assessment process also involves completing a brief cognitive screening and evaluating the claimant’s ability to complete ADL and IADL tasks. The ideal candidate will be technologically savvy and able to use a point of care web application/system on a laptop or tablet in real time for documentation purposes.

Responsibilities- Complete Long Term Care insurance assessments.
- Obtain claimant demographics, physician information, and a current medication list.
- Evaluate the claimant’s functional level of independence.
- Complete a brief cognitive screening.
- Assess the claimant’s ability to complete ADL and IADL tasks.
- Demonstrate good clinical reasoning and judgment as it relates to assessing ADL performance, cognition, and home safety.
- Be comfortable with the use of point of care technology when completing assessments.
Current, unencumbered RN licensure in the state of practice.
Minimum of 2 years of home health experience or 2 years nursing experience in an equivalent area of practice serving the older adult population.
Must have, or be willing to obtain, a professional liability insurance policy.
Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
