Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team.
Pay Information- RN 1 starts at $38.90 per hour.
- RN 2 starts at $44.09 per hour.
- RN 3 starts at $46.29 per hour.
RN 1: This position provides basic nursing care in predictable situations to a limited number of patients under direct supervision. RN 1s are typically new graduates or returning to the profession after a prolonged absence. Performance is guided by rules and competencies to be met. RN 1s can recognize attributes of a clinical situation without substantial experience. With oversight, the RN I’s render individualized nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological, supportive, and rehabilitative needs.
Care is based upon the nursing process and in accordance with the hospital’s policy and procedure and CARE values. RN 1s participate in other hospital committees and teams as appropriate.
RN 2: RN 2s independently plan and implement routine nursing care using standards and knowledge obtained during education and preceptorship. They begin to assume leadership responsibilities and require minimal supervision. An RN 2 can communicate clearly orally and in writing, work as a team, maintain effective relationships, use critical thinking, analyze and communicate findings. RN 2s require basic computer literacy and ability to operate automated office equipment.
RN 3: A Registered Nurse 3 is an advanced level who is assigned at least one float area and renders individualized comprehensive nursing care to meet patients’ physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural, and educational needs. RN 3 provides the best possible preventative, supportive, and rehabilitative nursing care based on the nursing process and hospital policy. RN 3 functions under the oversight of the Nursing Supervisor, plans and implements routine nursing care with minimal supervision, and serves as a responder for Rapid Response Team and Code Team.
Float pool staff may cover ED, CCU, Med/Surg, MHU, OB and RRC.
- License: Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: New graduate RNs or RNs with less than one year current acute care experience, or RN with no experience in past five years. New graduates remain at RN 1 for six months after preceptory and must promote to RN 2 within 18 months of hire.
- Certification(s): Reference Mandatory Education for Clinical and Support Staff Policy for most current Certification requirements.
- License: Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: Advancement from RN 1 or at least one year continuous experience in a comparable patient care setting. RNs must remain at this level for a minimum of one year before applying for advancement.
- Certification(s): Reference Mandatory Education for Clinical and Support Staff Policy for most current Certification requirements.
- Education: BSN preferred.
- License: Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience: Three years of current clinical experience or one year as a Bartlett RN 2. New employees must obtain a float area within six months.
- Certification(s): Reference Mandatory Education for Clinical and Support Staff Policy for most current Certification requirements.
- All new employees are required to produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in Alaska prior to the start of employment.
