We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as the full-time Urgent Care Medical Lead for our Juneau-based clinics. The new Front Street Urgent Care clinic opened May 2026, expanding convenient access to medical care in the heart of downtown Juneau. The $300 million Mt. Edgecumbe Medical Center opened in Sitka, April 2026 and in 2021 we opened the Wrangell Medical Center, located in Wrangell. With plans to build a third critical-access hospital in Haines. In addition to the dozens of established outpatient and traveling clinics throughout the region.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation salary: $152,464 to $169,405 based on years of experience, $12,000 Leadership Stipend, productivity, and quality incentives.

Financial incentives: $30,000 Sign On Bonus and $20,000 relocation assistance with a three year contract.

Schedule and Work-life Balance:

Full-time: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM) with no call requirements. Participation in telemedicine and inbox management.

Generous Time Off: 33 days (264 hours) annually and 10 additional days of CME.Practice Details:

Rotation at Three Clinics:
Two exam spaces per provider, 1 procedure room, 1:1 Medical Assistant, and RN. Ancillary services include access to CT, DEXA, Ultrasound including ECHO, X‑ray, laboratory services, and MRI.Patient Volume: ~10–25 patients per day, variable. With Meditech EMR, Dragon dictation and DAX CoPilot AI tools.

Procedure Opportunities:
Traditional urgent care practice treating all ages with acute illness and injuries, including laceration repair, suturing, splinting, I&D, fishhook removal, medication refills bridging care for patients. Strong collaboration with co-located Primary Care teams for continuity.

Clinical Leadership & Oversight:

Ensure quality and consistency of care across urgent care sites.

Oversee provider onboarding, FPPEs, and ongoing performance evaluation.

Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and patient safety processes.

Respond to patient experience concerns and clinical events.

Provider Supervision & Development:

Mentor and coach providers, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Lead regular provider meetings and communication.

Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of providers.
