Job Summary
Providence is calling for a Registered Nurse in Seward, Alaska. This position supports our mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all—especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
The Primary Care Nurse is responsible for the resident care of a specific group of residents, supervising team members, and coordinating referrals to other clinical team members, families, and physicians. The nurse serves as the point of contact for elder information and works under the Director of Nursing.
Compensation & BenefitsHiring Bonus – Up to $15,000 for eligible full‑time external hires who meet required qualifications.
Relocation assistance is also available. The base pay range is posted on the wage range for this position, with additional compensation possible through shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
The full‑time position is 36 hours per week with variable shifts.

- Provide primary nursing care to assigned residents.
- Supervise and lead nursing team members.
- Coordinate referrals to clinical support team, families, and physicians.
- Serve as the point of contact for elder information.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Licensed Alaska Registered Nurse.
- Minimum six months of nursing experience in a healthcare facility (acute care, long‑term care, or rehabilitation center).
- Supervision/leadership experience.
