Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality urgent care nursing services within the Emergency Room setting, supporting physicians and healthcare staff to deliver prompt and effective patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer clinical treatments and procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure timely and efficient patient flow and care coordination.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Manage medication inventories and ensure proper storage and documentation of all pharmaceuticals.
• Ensure adherence to infection control policies and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Participate in ongoing education, competency assessments, and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications:

• Current active Registered Nursing license in Alaska.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent urgent care or emergency room nursing experience.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of nursing processes, patient assessment, and emergency procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment and work independently or within a team.
