Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care across the lifespan in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and evidence-based practice.

The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered services.

The RN collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes, safety, and a positive patient experience.

The RN provides medication and nursing services in collaboration with providers and clinic staff to ensure high-quality care and compliance.

The RN maintains medication inventory and supplies and ensures completion of required quality control checks for point-of-care testing.

The RN documents all patient care and clinical services in accordance with professional nursing standards.

The RN manages daily medication room clinic opening and closing.

The RN communicates effectively with other departments to serve as a reliable resource for patients and clinic staff.

The RN performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care.

The RN implements and evaluates nursing interventions and patient responses.

The RN administers medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders and policy.

The RN recognizes changes in patient condition and initiates appropriate interventions or escalation of care.

The RN provides patient and family education related to care, medications, and discharge needs.

The RN delivers culturally responsive, patient-centered care.

The RN exercises independent nursing judgment in determining appropriate nursing actions, interventions, and priorities.

The RN develops, implements, evaluates, and revises individualized nursing plans of care based on patient needs, responses, and clinical circumstances.

The RN advocates for patient care and assists patients in navigating the healthcare system.

The RN collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.

The RN facilitates referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of services.

The RN documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.

The RN participates in quality and performance improvement activities.

The RN maintains required competencies and certifications.

The RN reports adverse events, near misses, and unsafe conditions per policy.

The RN must have knowledge of nursing principles, evidence-based practice, medication safety, and infection prevention.
