Ambulatory outpatient OB clinic within a gender-specific program
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments in an ambulatory OB clinic, applying the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans for obstetric and related outpatient populations; coordinate care across providers and interdisciplinary teams.
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders, monitoring responses and ensuring patient safety.
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record; maintain infection control and regulatory compliance.
- Provide patient and family education related to care plans, medications, discharge needs, and care navigation within the health system.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and elevate to the appropriate licensed provider as required; facilitate referrals and coordination of follow-up services.
- Collaborate with team members to promote quality, safety, and culturally responsive, patient-centered care; participate in quality improvement activities.
- Maintain professional competence and participate in required trainings; may float to other department assignments as needed.
- Note:
Start timing may be affected by the fingerprint processing; ensure timely completion of fingerprinting to avoid delays.
- Current, unrestricted RN license in Alaska (active Alaska license required at time of submittal)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Case management experience required
- Case management certification preferred
- Education:
Graduate of an accredited nursing program; bachelor’s degree preferred - Ability to work in an ambulatory outpatient clinic setting, including obstetric care and coordination of services
- 40 guaranteed hours per week in a 15-week travel assignment
- Day shift (Monday–Friday) in an outpatient OB clinic within a gender-specific program
- Travel assignment with employment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC
- Housing and travel accommodations are not provided by the facility; candidates must arrange these independently
