This is a remote/rotational position working in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical work schedule is 12-hour days on either a 2-week or 3-week rotational assignment, depending on operational requirements. All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is also provided.

Job Purpose

The HSE Supervisor provides field leadership and oversight for Worley's North Slope HSE team and supports safe, compliant execution of operations, maintenance, construction, and support activities. This role leads HSE Advisors, partners with operations and client representatives, supports regulatory and client compliance, and helps maintain practical HSE programs, processes, and training that prevent harm to people, assets, and the environment.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead, coach, support, and conduct performance management and employee development activities for the North Slope HSE Advisor team to ensure consistent field execution, quality support to operations, and alignment with Worley and client expectations.
  • Maintain field visibility through routine site visits, participation in safety meetings, and direct engagement with operations, supervision, and client representatives.
  • Support implementation and continuous improvement of North Slope HSE programs, procedures, training, and incident prevention processes.
  • Assess work areas, tasks, equipment, and materials for hazards and work with operations to develop practical controls and corrective actions.
  • Conduct and support inspections, audits, assessments, and field verifications to evaluate compliance with regulatory, client, company, and site-specific requirements and serve as an HSE representative during client, regulatory, and third-party audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
  • Partner with line management, supervisors, and leads to strengthen hazard recognition, work planning, risk assessment, and safe work execution.
  • Support and facilitate incident response, injury and vehicle incident investigations, corrective action development, and timely completion of required reports.
  • Advise management, employees, and HSE staff on applicable safety regulations, client requirements, company procedures, and recognized safe work practices.
  • Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders on HSE plans, expectations, reporting, inspections, and field execution requirements.
  • Coordinate contractor HSE compliance oversight, audits, evaluations, and performance reviews.
  • Maintain HSE records, metrics, reports, and documentation in support of regulatory compliance, client requirements, management review, and continuous improvement. Analyze HSE performance metrics and trends and provide recommendations for strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Support emergency response planning, site-specific HSE planning, environmental compliance, spill prevention, spill response readiness, hazardous waste program requirements, and related field readiness activities.
  • Support Process Safety Management initiatives, operational risk reviews, and activities associated with maintaining critical safety barriers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HSE systems, field practices, training, and communication, and recommend practical changes based on regulatory updates, client needs, operating conditions, and field feedback.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, AKOSH, DOT, and applicable consensus standards.
  • Ability to interpret regulatory and client requirements and apply them to North Slope field operations.
  • Strong working knowledge of North Slope safety practices, permitting processes, hazard controls, and field execution expectations.
  • Ability to identify hazards, evaluate risk, develop practical controls, and support resolution of compliance or field execution issues.
  • Effective leadership, coaching, communication, and training skills with the ability to engage employees, supervisors, management, clients, and regulatory representatives.
  • Working knowledge of safety equipment, fire prevention practices, emergency response expectations, and incident prevention methods.
  • Ability to maintain accurate HSE records, reports, metrics, and documentation using standard computers, word processing, spreadsheet, and database systems.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and professionally across varied work situations with all levels of employees, management, clients, and contractors.
Physical Demand/Work Environment

Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. The work site is approximately 840 miles from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and medical evacuation may be delayed by weather or operating conditions.
