Seasonal Shuttle Driver

Starting Wage: $19/hr plus End of Season Completion Bonus

Hours: Part-time, late April-early October

The Position:

Under the general direction of Retail Supervisor, a Seasonal Shuttle Driver is responsible for safe transportation of guests between the downtown Depot and the Tasting Room in a 12-seat passenger van.

This is an hourly seasonal position that will begin late April and end in early October. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

General tasks and responsibilities include:

• Greeting customers at pickup location.
• Sharing Juneau and Brewery knowledge and history with guests during transport.
• Following all established procedures for Shuttle Drivers, including pre-trip inspections, designated routes, and accurate record-keeping.
• Keeping all areas of the shuttle clean (including shuttle interior and windows) and maintaining a pleasant environment.

In addition to the above responsibilities of the Shuttle Driver may also be asked to perform the following Retail Associate responsibilities:

• Meeting and greeting customers in retail locations and engaging them in the buying process.
• Operating retail cash register/POS system.
• Pouring samples at hospitality bar. Required to diligently monitor liquor age requirements, customer consumption, and address issues that arise.
• Give guided tastings with knowledge of the brewing process.
• Maintaining retail area appearance and assisting with janitorial duties.
• Becoming knowledgeable about the merchandise in all retail stores.
• Assisting with keeping merchandise stocked, clean and organized.
• Assist with folding and tagging of merchandise or inventory counts.
• Assist in other areas of production or administration.

Reporting to the Retail Supervisor, this person works as part of the retail team. Skills and knowledge needed to be successful in this position include:

• Ability to communicate well with other people, both orally and in writing.
• Physical ability to stack 40-pound cases to a height of seven feet and to lift kegs weighing up to 160 lbs.
• Ability to perform repetitive lifting, building product displays and merchandising store.
• Must have a current driver license and a clean driving record.
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
• Cash handling skills.
• Ability to set priorities and manage competing demands.
