Retail & Store Manager, Retail Associate/ Customer Service
Taku Fisheries is an Alaskan seafood processing company. The company controls the whole process - from purchasing fresh caught seafood from the fisherman, processing, fish smoking and wholesale and retail sales, domestic and international. The plant is open year-round but as with the industry itself, the workload can fluctuate with the seasons.
The Retail Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the retail store as well as all necessary duties to maintain operations. This includes ordering inventory, hiring, training, and ensuring high-quality customer experience for visitors and locals.

- Supervision and training of retail staff.
- Manage scheduling, staffing, and performance expectations.
- Ensures excellent customer service and resolves customer issues professionally.
- Order stock and develop new lines of branded products.
- Manage inventory controls including monthly counts.
- Keep POS systems up to date.
- Maintain best practices for cash handling and create regular cash deposits.
- Collaborate with the team on marketing and promotional efforts, and other efforts to promote the ecommerce functions of the company.
- Promote business through social media, direct marketing, and community partnerships.
- Creates, analyzes, and distributes daily and weekly reports, to monitor sales and labor costs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Must be able to stand for extensive periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to move products, stock shelves, and maintain store floor.
- High school graduation preferred.
- Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Customer service experience required.
- Excellent communication and customer skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to proactively address issues and ask questions as needed.
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks.
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and completing tasks timely and accurately are a must.
