Five (5) Sales Associates needed for temporary full‑time employment at 469 S Franklin Street, Juneau, AK 99801.

Prepare store, inventory, and equipment for the workday. Open and close the store. Assist customers with sales inquiries, utilize product knowledge and sales methods to successfully close deals. Maintain inventory by ensuring that all inventory quantity matches store records, storing items properly to avoid damage, and cleaning jewelry frequently.

Requirements:

• Six months experience as a Sales Associate, Salesperson or similar occupation at a store catering to cruise ship passengers and/or tourists.
• Understanding of jewelry.
• Knowledge of cruise marketing.

Sales Associates will be trained for two full weeks on store operation procedures, brand training, and standard training required to fulfill their role.

Work hours:

40 hours per week with overtime available up to 20 hours per week depending on ship schedules. Alternate work days and shifts, up to six days per week. Shift times vary from 6am to 11pm.

Hourly wage at least $18.47 per hour for a minimum of 40 hours/week. Overtime paid at least $27.71 per hour.

On-the‑job training for two weeks on store operation procedures, brand training, and standard training.

Single workweek for pay. Pay frequency: bi‑weekly on every other Friday by direct deposit or check.

Free employer‑provided housing (optional). Free daily transportation to and from the worksite. If workers complete 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon contract completion or earlier dismissal, employer will provide or pay reasonable return transportation and subsistence. Daily subsistence at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel, maximum $59.00 per day with receipts.

Workers reimbursed for visa, processing, border crossing and other related fees (except passport fees) in first workweek.

Employer provides all tools, supplies and equipment required at no charge.

Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three‑fourths of the workdays in each 12‑week period of the total employment period.
