Description
The Electrical Foreman is responsible for planning, supervising, and implementing large electrical projects. The incumbent manages teams of Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians, providing on-site direction and leadership to complete jobs within specific guidelines and ensuring all work is done in accordance with local, state, federal, and site-specific rules and regulations while maintaining safety standards.
Schedule- 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off
- 7 days per week, 11.5 hours per day
- 80.5 hours per week

- Plans, supervises, and performs all phases of installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of electrical systems
- Inspects installations for quality, ensuring codes are met
- Provides customers and clients with cost estimates for proposed electrical installations, repairs, and/or maintenance
- Performs cost estimates and projections for electrical projects
- Reviews and evaluates electrical procedures
- Evaluates employees' progress, trains, and mentors new team members
- Ensures the project remains under‑budget and that proper quality equipment and tools are utilized
- Maintains a proper record of completed tasks and the methods used to achieve goals and objectives
- Ensures all work is conducted in accordance with NEC and NFPA requirements as well as local, city, state, and national electrical codes, and all Company and Client standards
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, or Equivalent
- Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- Four (4) years' experience as licensed Journeyman Electrician
- NSTC, North Slope Training Certificate
- Take and pass a pre‑employment drug test and background check.
- Take and pass a Fit‑for‑Duty Examination.
- Knowledge and experience with power tools, electrical equipment, and construction equipment
- Knowledge of electrical codes
- Knowledge of proper electrical equipment use in conditions and assignments, including adherence to Hazardous Materials and Safety Regulations
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, operational and mechanical systems including installation, testing, maintenance, and repair
- Understanding of how electrical systems operate under normal and emergency conditions
- Understanding of electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Skilled in repair of electrical equipment, wiring, and other fixtures
- Strong mechanical, analytical, and solution‑driven skills
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.)
- Basic math skills
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Ability to diagnose system malfunctions, locate cause of breakdown, and recommend solutions
- Ability to recognize and respond to dangerous situations or emergencies such as high voltage systems, electrical fires, loose hot wires, broken power lines, etc.
- Ability to give direction and oversight to helpers and apprentices
- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, and see
- The incumbent frequently is required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and walk
- The incumbent is occasionally required to sit
- The incumbent must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
- Visual acuity must be adequate to perform all required tasks in a safe manner
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and may require use of ear plugs on occasion
- Work is usually done outside at a job site/field site that may have inclement weather conditions
- The incumbent is exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and equipment
- The employee must work and stay on site during the work rotation and must comply with all Company and Client policies
