Maintenance Mechanic

Bartlett Regional Hospital is searching for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our Facilities team
.

• Internal Hires:
  Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
• External Hires:
  Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.
• Maintenance Mechanic 1 starts at $29.78 per hour.
• Maintenance Mechanic 2 starts at $32.32 per hour.

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, with assistance and guidance from a Maintenance Mechanic 2, performs a variety of semi-skilled general trade or craft areas of repair, maintenance, construction, alterations and operation of the hospital grounds, structures, and related equipment and systems. Must be a self-starter able to work independently from written or oral instructions. May be required to be available to work after normal hours, weekends, holidays, and/or on call to meet emergency, winter snow removal and seasonal job demands.

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs skilled work at the journeyman level in several trade or craft areas in maintaining hospital buildings, equipment and grounds. Must be a self-starter able to work independently from written or oral instructions. At this level, incumbents must have a basic knowledge of all BRH building systems as well as all equipment used to complete assigned tasks, establishing and carrying out repair and preventative maintenance schedules.

In addition, they are required to be available to work “On Call” off duty hours, weekends and holidays to meet emergency, winter snow removal and seasonal job demands.

• Education:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience:
  
  Two (2) years of general maintenance experience or one (1) year as a Maintenance Apprentice at Bartlett Regional Hospital or its equivalent.
• Relevant experience includes modalities such as boilers, engines, HVAC, biomedical, welding, refrigeration, general contracting, etc.
• Certification(s):
  None
• License(s):
  Valid Driver’s License

• Education:
  
  High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience:
  
  Two (2) years of maintenance experience in one or more trade or craft areas or one (1) year as a Maintenance Mechanic 1 at Bartlett Regional Hospital or its equivalent.
• Relevant experience includes modalities such as boilers, engines, HVAC, biomedical.
• Certification(s):
  None
• License(s):
  Valid Driver’s License

• Preference may be given to those who qualify for Maintenance Mechanic 2.
