UIC Construction LLC is seeking experienced Carpenters to join their team in Utqiaġvik, Alaska. Carpenters will construct, erect, install, and repair wooden structures and fixtures, working on a variety of projects in challenging environments. • At least ten (10) years of verifiable experience in carpentry with a focus on new construction
• Current and valid driver’s license
• Knowledge of general construction techniques and safe working practices
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and spec books
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
• Ability to work independently and maintain a clean, safe work site
• All necessary tools and reliable transportation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally and up to 20 lbs frequently
• Ability to bend, squat, crouch, crawl, kneel, climb, and work at heights above 12'
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures and noisy environments
• Ability to use personal protective equipment as required
• Pre-employment drug & alcohol screening and/or random drug screen may be required
