JOB SUMMARYThe Heavy Equipment Oiler/Serviceman is responsible for performing preventive maintenance activities on heavy‑duty trucks, vehicles, and equipment, including lubrication, fluid servicing, safety inspections, and operational checks. This position plays a critical role in supporting equipment reliability, safety, and performance by monitoring fluid levels, identifying maintenance concerns, and assisting Heavy‑Duty Mechanics with repair and maintenance activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Perform lubrication services and preventive maintenance on heavy‑duty vehicles, trucks, and equipment, including engine, drivetrain, hydraulic, and cooling systems.
- Inspect, monitor, and maintain proper fluid levels in all assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, including air brake system inspections and related operational checks.
- Identify and report equipment deficiencies, leaks, wear, or potential mechanical issues requiring corrective action.
- Maintain accurate records of fluid usage, servicing activities, inspections, and maintenance logs.
- Track, prioritize, and maintain schedules for service requests, preventive maintenance activities, and work orders.
- Assist Heavy‑Duty Mechanics with equipment repairs, diagnostics, component replacements, and maintenance projects.
- Ensure equipment, tools, service vehicles, and work areas are kept clean, organized, and in safe working condition.
- Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Support AES zero‑incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid (U.S issued, Alaska compliant) Class A or B CDL with a Hazmat endorsement is required.
- A current DOT Medical Card is required.
- A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
- The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 3x3 rotation is required.
- At least four (4) years of experience servicing and maintaining Cat and Cummins engines, Cat loaders, dozers, rock trucks, and motor graders;
Volvo loaders;
Hitachi excavators; manlifts;
Tucker Sno‑Cats; vacuum trailers; and Kenworth tractors is required. - At least four (4) years of experience performing lubrication services, fluid monitoring, preventive maintenance inspections, and supporting mechanical repair activities on heavy equipment fleets is required.
- Five (5) or more years of experience working as a Heavy‑Duty Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Oiler/Serviceman specifically the Petrochemical or Oil and Gas industry, on the North Slope, and/or in other Arctic environment is preferred.
