JOB SUMMARY
The Civil Roustabout reports directly to the Civil Foreman and assists the civil crew with a wide range of construction and maintenance activities. The role supports the successful execution of civil projects by performing general labor duties and contributing to the safe and efficient completion of assigned work.
This seasonal position is benefits‑eligible, expected to start July 2026 and be completed by or around October 2026.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES- Perform all work in accordance with established SOPs, JHAs, PREP AK requirements, and the 8 Life‑Saving Rules to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and perform assigned tasks with limited technical guidance while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Perform basic structural layout, fitting, and fabrication activities.
- Safely operate and maintain a variety of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
- Assemble, disassemble, and install well houses, doors, grip‑strut floor kits, grade beams, and related structural components.
- Assist with pipeline excavations, installation of underground casings, and operation of heat‑transfer ground thawing equipment.
- Interpret and execute engineered lift plans in accordance with established lifting and rigging procedures.
- Fabricate containment systems using extrusion welding and heat‑gun welding techniques.
- Perform structural and mechanical piping maintenance activities.
- Execute rigging operations for structural and piping components in accordance with approved procedures and training requirements.
- Identify soil classifications, evaluate soil conditions and compaction requirements, and read and interpret grade stakes.
- Work safely around excavators, loaders, cranes, and other heavy equipment.
- Safely operate trucks, walk‑behind skid steers, soil compactors, and other assigned equipment.
- Set up, maintain, and safely operate oxy‑acetylene cutting and heating equipment.
- Perform work in confined spaces in accordance with applicable permits, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Participate in and comply with the respiratory protection program.
- Understand and follow permit requirements applicable to assigned tasks.
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and other technical documents.
- Apply PREP AK principles to all work activities and actively verify crew participation and engagement in the PREP AK process.
- Maintain compliance with all company safety, environmental, and operational policies and procedures.
- Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
- Support AES zero‑incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
- Other duties will be assigned to this position as needed.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid U.S. issued driver's license is required.
- A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.
- The ability to work 80.5 hours a week on a 3x3 rotation is required.
- At least four (4) years of experience as a roustabout or laborer specifically in the petrochemical or oil and gas industry, on the North Slope, and/or in other Arctic environments is required.
- The ability to read mechanical blueprints and P&IDs is preferred.
- A valid U.S. issued, Alaska compliant Class A or B CDL with a current DOT medical card is preferred.
- Experience operating loaders and skid‑steers is preferred.
