Job Description
Burlington Housing Authority (BHA) in Burlington, VT seeks a full‑time Building Operations Technician to join our dedicated team. This role involves general maintenance work in BHA‑owned and managed properties, including building exteriors, common areas, apartments, building systems, fixtures, and grounds.
Responsibilities- Perform general maintenance work across BHA properties.
- Participate in the on‑call rotation, covering night and weekend emergencies.
- Minimum of two years of experience in general building maintenance or building trades.
- Proficiency in carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, grounds keeping, and snow removal.
- Valid state motor vehicle operator license must be held at all times.
- Squatting, ascending and descending ladders, scaffolding, and stairs.
- Working in small or confined spaces.
- Twisting and lifting up to 100 pounds, often repeating motions with wrists, fingers, and hands.
- Work in all environmental conditions.
- Detail oriented and efficient.
- Ability to work within time‑sensitive parameters and independently or as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity to the needs of elderly, disabled, and very low‑income households.

Employment Details- Job Type: Full‑time.
