Vehicle Mechanics

Aramark, in partnership with Doyon Limited, operates a 100‑bus fleet serving guests at Denali National Park & Preserve. Seasonal role April to October 2026. Vehicle Mechanics perform repair and maintenance of buses and related automotive equipment under supervision. Reports to Fleet Manager, Shop Foreman, and Lead Technicians.

• Repair and replace seats, glass, sheet metal, latches, and other body components and assemblies.
• Perform oil, filter, and lubricant changes and general preventive maintenance.
• Conduct annual DOT inspections per federal and Aramark guidelines under guidance of experienced technician.
• Mount and dismount tires on buses and related equipment.
• Operate battery chargers, welding equipment, and other machines required for vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Assist higher‑level technicians when needed.
• Assist in cleaning and organization of the shop.
• Operate a desktop computer to complete work orders and charge out parts as required.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• One to two years of experience in automotive or heavy diesel mechanical repair.
• Some experience combined with a technical school acceptable.

• Experience in all areas of preventive maintenance.
• Experience in operation of various tools and equipment.
• Experience in maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Possess a set of basic automotive mechanic hand tools and storage cabinet.
• Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing; may require uniforms and personal protective equipment.
