Salary Range: $35.25 To $43.50 Annually
What’s the role?
The Mobile Equipment Electrician reports to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, and the primary role is to carry out electrical and instrumentation installation and maintenance of machinery as directed by the Supervisor within the Maintenance Department.
Duties include:
- Perform a h igh standard ofauto electrical execution, all work completed in a safe and timely manner.
- Diagnose and fault-find electrical systems and components.
- Provide technical advice and support to fellow Maintenance Team members.
- Ensure workmanship through meeting standards,tolerances and testing of equipment prior to handover.
- Ensure effective communication and handover between crews with regard to maintenance plans and issues.
- Ensure correct historyis collated and effectively recorded.
- Identify correct partsand equipment for all planned and unplanned jobs as necessary.
- Assist Mobile Maintenance and Light Vehicle teams as required with mechanical repairs.
- Ensure all tasks and procedures complies with environmental standards.
- Continuously reviewscheduledjobs to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Highlight equipment defects and issues effectively utilising the maintenance management process.
- Rigorous cost management - avoid rework and the unnecessary use of partsandservices.
- Ensure all safety related activities are undertaken in accordance with Company policy and MSHA requirements including Hazard IDs, pre-start checks, pre-start meetings, and incident reporting.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas.
- Other duties as required.
The specifics:
Working a 21 day on, 21 day off rotating schedule up to 12 hours a day or more at a remote campsite. Extreme conditions, including but not limited to extreme and changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.
Employees are required to stay on site at the company provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities provide dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have a land line phone, great Wi‑Fi & cable TV. Cell service is available through Wi‑Fi. The Company provides a bus service to and from Fairbanks, Delta Junction and Tok, Alaska.
