Campus Housing/Facilities Services Maintenance Worker

Be part of the team that keeps our campus housing running smoothly and looking its best. As a member of Campus Housing/Facilities Services, you'll play a hands-on role in creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces for students, staff, and visitors. From maintaining building interiors to caring for campus housing grounds year-round, your work directly supports the daily experience of our university community.

You'll help open and secure campus facilities, assist with minor repairs, operate university vehicles for hauling materials, and ensure safety concerns are addressed quickly. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys active, meaningful work, takes pride in a job well done, and thrives in a team environment. Occasional extra hours or call-backs may be needed for special campus needs—your flexibility helps keep everything running smoothly.

Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals and technical procedures. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management.

Interpersonal

Skills:

Ability to work independently and in a group setting including following, interpreting, and communicating instructions given by management or lead employee; relating to management and other employees in a positive manner; making efforts to solve crew conflicts; and assisting in providing a productive and safe work environment.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Minimum Qualifications:

May possess journeyman level certification. Requires apprentice level or other equivalent certification appropriate to the specific trade; with a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria.
