Equipment Operator 2 (Seasonal)Department of Transportation & Public Facilities – Fairbanks International Airport’s Airfield Maintenance section
What you will be doingIn this role, you will provide vital support by operating heavy equipment to keep airport runways, taxiways, and roads clear and safe, especially during winter conditions. As an important part of our Airfield Maintenance team you’ll perform pavement and facility maintenance, support construction projects, and respond to emergencies to ensure Fairbanks International Airport remains fully operational and compliant with FAA standards.

This recruitment utilizes a supplemental questionnaire as part of the application process. The answers you provide will be used to determine which applicants will advance to the interview phase of the recruitment and selection process.
Airport security badgeApplicants must be eligible for an airport identification badge in accordance with Transportation Security Administration regulations, which requires fingerprinting, a criminal background check, and a TSA Security Threat Assessment.
Commercial driver’s license requiredMust possess a Class A Alaska Commercial Driver’s License at time of hire. Conditional hire is only granted for endorsements; the applicant must obtain an N‑Tanker endorsement within 90 days of hire and sign a compliance agreement.
Drug and Alcohol policySelected candidates must comply with the DOT&PF Drug & Alcohol policy and must pass a pre‑employment drug test before beginning work in a CDL position.
EducationApplicants must fill the Education section. If no degree, indicate the number of units completed. Transcripts are required to verify credentials. Foreign education may be accepted if duly interpreted as equivalent.
