Expeditor; Glacier position

Position: Expeditor (This is not a Glacier position)
Support a glacier dogsled camp which is only accessible by helicopter!

The season runs from the second week in April through the second week of September. Must be able to work to the end of the season.

An expeditor is the direct supply and communication line between a remote camp, and the ground crew.

Expeditors work as a team on the ground to support their respective camp by facilitating and maintaining operational communications between camp, tour dispatch and management. They are responsible for procuring and sending/receiving supplies to and from camp, and manifesting crew/dogs/cargo for helicopter dispatch.

Communications revolve around anticipated, planned, and spontaneous camp and tour needs with regard to guests, crew and the dogs. Expeditors must be safety minded and physically capable, as they frequently lift up to 50 pound containers into and out of helicopters.

Expeditors work under the direct supervision of their respective Base, Office and Camp Managers with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting initiatives communicated to the Office Manager. Administrative aspects of the job require competent computer skills.

Daily schedules vary in length, and additional duties may be assigned with the weather and camp needs ultimately dictating responsibilities.

This position is very independent, and therefore requires strong communication, organization, and time management skills. You will also need to be eligible for a TSA badge (which we will facilitate) and have a valid drivers license with a clean record, and obtain a DOT health card in order to drive a company vehicle.

If hired, you will be required to pass a background and drug test prior to beginning your employment.
