What You’ll DoResponsible for driving a designated route to load and/or unload fuel in a safe and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a one‑ton or larger service vehicle with a crane to move propane tanks. Handle, inspect, certify, and fill small propane tanks.
- Drive a designated route to load and/or unload fuel in a safe and timely manner.
- Deliver propane to customers and set up new propane systems as needed.
- Perform various customer service activities, including scheduling work, performing propane pressure tests, and communicating with customers to find solutions for system deficiencies.
- Track and reorder inventory; complete paperwork and update information in computer tracking systems. Understand and implement company, state, and federal regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years operating tractor‑trailer equipment, preferably in propane, natural gas, pipe fitting, plumbing, crane, or boom truck.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Must possess a Class A or Class B CDL with endorsements: (a) X‑Tank/Hazardous Materials, (b) Doubles or Triples, and meet current driver qualifications defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
- Also required is a current medical certificate.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships; demonstrate effective customer service skills; evaluate process effectiveness and develop change or alternatives; prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously; mentor, coach, train, and supervise employees; function effectively with or as part of a team; identify safety hazards and necessary precautions; safely operate and maintain machinery, tools, and equipment.
WorkingConditions
Work both indoors in an office environment and outdoors in high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels, and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to enter low‑headroom areas, climb ladders, use a computer keyboard and monitor for extended periods, and sit for long durations.
