We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Jupiter, Florida in a contract-to-permanent capacity. This onsite role is ideal for someone who brings strong accuracy, sound judgment, and a disciplined approach to invoice processing and payment activities. You will support daily accounts payable operations using Quick Books, with a focus on handling lower invoice volume with high financial impact.

The position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-organized finance function while building toward a long-term role.

Responsibilities:

• Review and assign the appropriate general ledger coding to incoming invoices before entry into the accounting system.
• Process accounts payable transactions in Quick Books with a high degree of precision and timeliness.
• Prepare and complete scheduled check runs while ensuring payment details are accurate and properly documented.
• Manage ACH payment activity and confirm electronic disbursements are recorded correctly.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies by researching balances, payments, and outstanding items.
• Maintain organized payment records and supporting documentation for audit readiness and internal review.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to address invoice questions and payment status updates.
• Handle approximately 100 invoices each week, giving close attention to accuracy due to the significant dollar value involved.
