Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jupiter, FL. As a Hospitalist Nocturnist, you will provide medical care and patient management overnight within our hospital. Primary responsibilities include diagnosing and treating inpatients, admitting patients, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring comprehensive care for patients during overnight shifts, and addressing any clinical emergencies that may arise.
7 nights on, 7 off; work with a Nurse Practitioner from 7p-7a. EPIC is our EHR. 24/7 intensivist team. No codes, no procedures. Average between 5-10 admissions per night.
Qualifications
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with relevant hospitalist experience
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities in acute care settings
- Ability to handle medical emergencies with proficiency and prioritize patient care efficiently
- A valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of Florida
- Commitment to maintaining patient safety, quality care, and compliance with clinical standards
- Experience working night shifts in a hospital setting or similar environment is preferred
