Our hospitalist program presently has 10 daytime physicians and 2 nocturnist physicians, along with APPs.
This opportunity seeks someone Monday-Friday in a forward facing role with the medical staff and hospital leadership.
7 on/7 off model for them.
We have a separate intensivist team here 24/7.
This position will be approximately 70-75% clinical and 25-30% administrative with dedicated administrative days.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Hospitalist Medical Director based in Jupiter, FL. The Hospitalist Medical Director will oversee the daily operations of the hospitalist program, manage the hospitalist team, ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, and develop and enforce clinical protocols. The role involves coordinating with other departments, managing patient flow and resource utilization, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Additionally, the Medical Director will provide direct patient care, mentor staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) and board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of Florida
- Experience in hospitalist medicine and healthcare administration
- Strong leadership, team management, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in developing and implementing clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
- Excellent patient care, diagnostic, and treatment skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
- Commitment to continued medical education and professional development
