Educational Sign Language Interpreter - Jupiter, Florida

We are seeking multiple dedicated Sign Language Interpreters to collaborate with school teams throughout the county. In this engaging role, you'll work closely with Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students at various school sites, each offering full-time schedules that support a positive learning experience.

Key

Qualifications:

• Must hold Level 3 or higher on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA)
• Demonstrated experience interpreting in a school or educational setting, especially supporting DHH students
• Ability to adapt to different age groups and learning environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to professional confidentiality and ethical standards
• Completion of fingerprinting and eligibility verification through the AHCA Clearinghouse, or willingness to complete if needed

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide clear, accurate ASL interpretation for students in DHH classrooms within assigned school
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and peers, supporting full engagement with academic content and classroom activities
• Assist in adapting materials and lessons to maximize student learning
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
• Ensure compliance with school policies and relevant guidelines
