Planner Scheduler - Nuclear-Level 4 - Lead (15+ Years)
A position is available for a Nuclear Plant Scheduler. The role involves developing, maintaining, and integrating project and outage schedules at nuclear facilities. This position serves as a connection between project managers, engineering, operations, and contractor teams to ensure work is sequenced, resourced, and executed in alignment with plant operational requirements and regulatory commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain integrated project and outage schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling tools.
- Coordinate with project managers and discipline leads to define activity sequences, durations, and resource loading.
- Establish and maintain schedule baselines, monitor progress, and issue regular schedule performance reports.
- Integrate multi-discipline work packages into a cohesive schedule that accounts for plant operational windows, outage milestones, and regulatory hold points.
- Identify critical path activities and near-critical float risks, developing recovery plans and contingency logic as needed.
- Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze corrective and preventative maintenance, modification, and surveillance activities.
- Define procedures, drawings, equipment, and materials required to perform planned work packages.
- Act as a liaison with the engineering department and vendors to coordinate activities.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
A minimum of 15 years of planning or trade experience in a nuclear facility in Engineering, Maintenance (electrical, mechanical, I&C), or Operations. Experience with scheduling in a nuclear, power generation, or heavy industrial environment is required.
Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software. Expert level knowledge of computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, online scheduling applications, and work management processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- A BS degree in Engineering or a related physical science.
- Completion of a Maintenance Trade apprenticeship program.
- Prior relevant military experience may be considered.
