The Hot Section Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, proactive, goal oriented, and detail-focused project engineer for F135 Nozzle and 3
BSM Module. The role of a Project engineer is to support the IPTL for program task execution for hardware while developing leadership skills to become a future IPTL at Pratt & Whitney.
This role will provide opportunities for direct interfacing with engineering management, program management, suppliers and government customers. The selected candidate will work with a team of individuals to meet requirements and achieve goals.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate with IPTL and help lead one or more cross functional teams to meet task and technical requirements
- Identify and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects
- Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives
- Prepare/present status and technical content to HSE Leadership, CIPT, and Pratt & Whitney Upper Management
- Initiate and manage hardware procurement/industrial effort as the engineering technical contact
- Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field and 2+ years of engineering experience OR an Advanced degree
- 10% Travel
- Experience with nozzle or exhaust design and development
- Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations, and management
- Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project / scheduling software, and project management
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
