What You Will Do:
- Responsibilities may include working on tasks related to data acquisition/data recording on military and commercial engines including related instrumentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and other stakeholders regarding data before, during, and after testing.
- Communicate results and insights to technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner.
- This organization supports testing and field operations across multiple company and customer sites throughout the US and the world.
What You Will Learn:
- Set up of test facilities to support engine testing.
- Set up of instrumentation measurement systems to support engine testing.
- Consult and coordinate with engineering and customer groups to establish requirements
- Troubleshooting and calibration of devices in the test facility or lab, and operation of data acquisition systems during validation testing
- Effectively communicate with instrumentation technicians, test engineering and operations groups to ensure requirements are fully understood and achievable.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
- Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session.
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience with one or more of the following:
Turbo machinery instrumentation, Analog, Digital Electronics, Mixed Signal, Circuit Design or Analysis, Electrical Components, Digital Signal Processing or PCB design. - Experience using common electronic test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers (VNAs) digital multimeters (DMMs) and signal generators for circuit characterization, debugging and validation.
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Onsite:
Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
