Internship Opportunity At Pratt & Whitney
Pratt & Whitney Aircraft is a recognized leader in the development of gas turbine engines for military, commercial, and power-generation applications. The Development Operations Organization is seeking highly motivated engineering interns for the Rig and Engine Test group based in West Palm Beach, Florida. These positions provide challenging assignments focused on the mechanical systems that enable successful test execution. This role is 100% onsite to support hands-on test activities and collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
Interns will have the opportunity to:
- Engage in mechanical design and/or analysis
- Participate in mechanical, civil, or electrical project management
- Contribute to procedure writing and validation
- Monitor test operations
- Support test programs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems
Qualifications you must have:
- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or PhD in mechanical or aerospace from an accredited university/college or equivalent
- Minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session
Qualifications we prefer:
- Previous intern experience at Pratt & Whitney or a similar engineering firm
- Familiarity with testing, manufacturing, technical group projects

The salary range for this role is $37,000 - $82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
