Position: LPN / RN - Child Birth Educator Per Diem

Education
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school as Licensed Practical Nurse, RN preferred
Experience / Qualifications
  • Current LPN/RN licensure in the state of Florida
  • BLS through American Heart Association, for healthcare providers
  • Certified in Childbirth Education
  • 2 years of experience as a Childbirth Educator in and acute setting
Position Summary

The Child Birth Educator provides education to prenatal and / or postpartum patients and their families.

Provides ongoing education for patients and nursing staff.
  • Applies nursing process and theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical sciences.
  • Practices autonomously within professional nursing standards, the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
