About the Opportunity
A leading biotechnology and research manufacturing facility in Jupiter, FL is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support critical production and facility equipment. This is a highly mechanical role focused on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex manufacturing systems used in a research and laboratory environment.
This position is ideal for technicians with strong experience working on mixers, pumps, chillers, piping systems, plumbing components, packaging equipment, and automated machinery, along with exposure to PLC-controlled equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Maintain and repair industrial mixers, pumps, chillers, compressors, valves, and piping systems.
- Diagnose and repair automated packaging machinery and conveyor systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and assist with system adjustments as needed.
- Conduct equipment inspections and document maintenance activities.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Follow GMP, safety, and facility maintenance standards.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing, biotech, pharmaceutical, food production, packaging, or similar environments.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with:
- Industrial mixers
- Pumps and motors
- Chillers and HVAC-related equipment
- Piping and plumbing systems
- Packaging machinery
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Working knowledge of PLCs and automated equipment troubleshooting.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen Bradley or Siemens preferred).
- Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, chemical, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Technical school certification, vocational training, or related maintenance education.
