We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children in a childcare setting. The ideal candidate will have a Food Hygiene certification
, relevant experience in preparing meals for children, and the ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.
Location: Jurong East
Working Hours: 7am to 4.30pm
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, cook, and serve balanced and nutritious meals and snacks according to the dietary requirements of children.
Ensure meals are prepared in a safe and hygienic manner
, adhering to all food safety standards and regulations.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining, and food storage areas.
Monitor stock levels and manage inventory, ensuring ingredients are fresh and adequately stocked.
Plan menus in consultation with centre management, taking into account allergies, dietary restrictions, and nutritional guidelines.
Serve meals and assist in mealtime routines when necessary, ensuring children’s safety and encouraging healthy eating habits.
Comply with childcare centre policies and procedures, including safety, health, and emergency protocols.
Keep accurate records of meals prepared, ingredients used, and any incidents or concerns.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a cook, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
Food Hygiene Certification (e.g., Basic Food Hygiene or equivalent).
Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements for children.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in working with children.
Familiarity with kitchen safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Full-time position.
May involve early morning or late afternoon shifts depending on meal preparation schedules.
Standing for extended periods and handling kitchen equipment.
