Assistant Store ManagerJob Type: Full Time
Availability: Open on weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights.
Responsibilities- Proactively communicate with Store Manager, District Manager and Cross‑functional Partners to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Model selling behaviors aligned with our brand culture to build loyal customer relationships and achieve key financial targets.
- Monitor and provide feedback and coaching on customer service delivered by team members.
- Supervise store operations, including opening/closing, scheduling, task delegation, and shift management.
- Control store cash: register counts, bank withdrawals, armored pickups, safe deposits, change orders, and bookkeeping.
- Analyze inventory trends and supervise inventory management to avoid outs and overstock.
- Maintain proficiency with company technology systems (registers, Leaf Logix, etc.).
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with special assignments as needed.
- Travel for training and coverage: 10%-25%.
- Minimum 1 year of retail customer‑service experience in a high‑paced selling environment.
- Minimum 1 year of retail supervisory experience.
- Strong business acumen and ability to measure success through financial targets and KPIs.
- Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
- Willingness to work a flexible, extended schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Previous experience in a heavily regulated industry.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to build and manage teams.
- Salesmanship skills and experience driving revenue.
- Experience with cash handling and POS operations.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and effective communication.
- Ability to work independently manage business operations in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Previous experience in the cannabis industry.
Stand, walk, talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, use hands and fingers to feel, reach, and lift up to 25 lb. Occasionally required to climb, balance and lift up to 50 lb. Requires clear vision at 20 inches or less. Must work in confined spaces and handle high‑stress environments.
