Job Description

First Hawaiian Bank is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant III to join our Maui Region team to support the Region Manager and the regional banking operations.

Compensation

The pay range for the role is $22.00 - $30.00/hr; commensurate with experience

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for managing day-to-day administrative functions, including travel coordination, expense processing, staffing oversight and training logistics, while ensuring efficient regional operations. The Administrative Assistant III serves as a liaison between customers and branches to facilitate timely resolution of concerns. Additionally, the role will collaborate cross-functionally with internal business units to coordinate training, events, and regional initiatives, and supports budget-related activities and reporting.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience required
  • Associate's degree in liberal arts or business-related field preferred
  • Three years of experience working in an administrative support role required; branch/banking atmosphere highly desirable
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage complex administrative functions, including travel logistics, staffing support, training coordination and event planning
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees, customers, vendors, and cross-functional partners
  • Exercises sound judgement and discretion in handling confidential information, including personnel, financial, and customer-related matters
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately manage expenses, reports, records, and operational processes with consistent follow-through
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, Sharepoint)
  • Effective time management and planning skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and support regional operational demands
