Location
Kapa'a Public Library and Princeville Public Library.
Salary$3,606 to $4,563 per month (SR-11, Step C to I)
Shift RequirementsRotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
ResponsibilitiesPerforms highly complex library support work; supervises and participates in executing complex library support tasks; and/or performs substantive technical/paraprofessional library support work that requires knowledge of library science techniques; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Legal Authorization to Work: U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or eligible for unrestricted employment.
- General
Experience:
One year of clerical work demonstrating spelling, arithmetic, reading, understanding, and ability to perform clerical procedures and operate office equipment. - Library Assistant II/IV
Experience:
Minimum of one year of experience comparable to Library Assistant IV level, and at least two years of progressively responsible experience in a library performing support activities such as circulation, stack maintenance, processing orders and materials, bibliographic information verification, and familiarization with library terminology, policies, and classification systems. - Specialized
Experience:
At least two years of experience in library support activities involving circulation, stack maintenance, processing orders, posting receipts, locating bibliographic information, and applying library terminology and classification schemes. - Supervisory Aptitude (if applicable): Demonstrated potential for supervisory duties through leadership experiences, supervisory training courses, or favorable appraisals.
