The Opportunity
This is not a “push paper and wait for instructions” engineering role.
Alpha Inc. is looking for a Civil Project Engineer who wants to be in the work, on the jobsite, and at the center of execution — someone who thrives on turning plans into reality and problems into progress.
You’ll partner closely with Project Managers, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure projects move on time, on budget, and to Alpha standards
. From interpreting drawings to solving real-world construction challenges, this role is for engineers who want ownership, growth, and impact — not just a title.

What You’ll DoYou’ll be a critical force behind project success — supporting planning, execution, and problem-solving from start to finish.
Project Execution & Technical Support
Support planning, organizing, and execution of civil construction projects alongside Project Managers.
Analyze drawings, blueprints, specifications, and geotechnical reports to ensure accurate planning and execution.
Use design software and drawing tools to clearly communicate and interpret technical information.
Cost, Schedule & Documentation
Assist with estimates, budgets, and project schedules to keep work aligned with financial and timeline goals.
Prepare and maintain project documentation including progress reports, material tracking, and budget updates.
Support drafting and review of contracts, purchase orders, and change orders in compliance with requirements.
Field Coordination & Problem Solving
Work closely with Project Managers, foremen, and subcontractors to resolve construction issues and workflow challenges.
Track project performance and ensure work meets specifications and Alpha quality standards.
Investigate issues quickly and help implement practical, timely solutions.
Safety, Clients & Communication
Help enforce Alpha’s safety standards and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
Attend project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and updates clearly.
Support positive client relationships by assisting with communication and issue resolution.
What You BringYou’re detail-driven, team-oriented, and serious about doing things the right way.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (required).
2–3 years of experience in civil engineering, construction, or project management.
PE license preferred (or on the path).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and construction/project management software.
Skills & Mindset
Strong understanding of construction processes and field operations.
Excellent organization, communication, and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple priorities without losing accuracy.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance.
OSHA or industry certifications are a plus.
