Locations: Wailuku/Kahului, Maui.
Responsibilities- Inspect construction materials and methods used in building construction projects.
- Review erection of false work and concrete forms, accept or reject materials based on specifications.
- Keep detailed records of work and materials used, and prepare routine inspection reports.
- Prepare monthly progress reports concerning construction projects.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Legal Authorization to Work: citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
- General
Experience:
two (2) years journey level experience in building construction trades demonstrating full range of specialized knowledge and practices, including blueprint reading. - Specialized
Experience:
one (1) year of either (A) building construction inspection work experience or (B) supervisory work experience over skilled trades workers with responsibility for interpreting plans and specifications and inspecting quality of workmanship and materials. - Basic Experience/
Education:
ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, write clearly, and perform arithmetic computations. - Driver's License: some positions require possession of a valid driver's license at appointment.
- Lift and Carry: some positions require ability to lift and carry objects of various weights with or without accommodation.
- Substitutions Allowed: relevant substitutions as described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements may apply.
From $6,090 to $6,704 per month (SR-19, Step C to I). Salary includes Shortage Category Differential.
