LIBRARY TECHNICIAN V - SHIFT WORK - KAUA'I

Location: Kapa'a Public Library and Princeville Public Library, Kauai County, HI
Salary: $3,606 to $4,563 per month (SR-11, Step C to I)
Shift Work: Applicants must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Performs highly complex library support work; supervises and participates in performing complex library support work; and/or performs substantive technical/paraprofessional library support work requiring knowledge of basics of library sciences. Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Legal Authorization to Work:
Citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment. - General
Experience:
One (1) year clerical work experience, including knowledge of spelling, arithmetic, reading, understanding oral and written instructions, and comparing words and numbers quickly and accurately; or at least comparable to Library Assistant II level. - Specialized
Experience:
Two (2) years progressively responsible experience in a library involving circulation work, stack maintenance, processing orders, posting receipts, locating and verifying bibliographic information, and understanding library terminology and practices. At least one year of this experience must be comparable to Library Assistant IV level. - Supervisory Aptitude:
For certain positions, demonstration of supervisory aptitude through successful completion of assignments with supervisory responsibilities. - Substitutions:
