Personal Banker – Kahului Branch (Direct Hire)

Bishop & Company is seeking a highly engaging, customer‑focused, and goal‑driven Personal Banker to join the Kahului Branch team. In this role, you will work closely with portfolio clients through needs‑based financial planning conversations, serving as a trusted advisor and helping clients achieve their financial goals.

You will identify client needs and recommend appropriate banking products and services while collaborating with internal partners across Wealth Management, Private Banking, Business Banking, Mortgage Banking, and other specialty areas. A key measure of success in this role is the retention and growth of an assigned Personal Banker portfolio. As an integral member of the branch team, you will also support daily branch operations as needed.

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through needs‑based financial conversations
• Manage, retain, and grow an assigned portfolio of Personal Banking clients
• Identify opportunities and recommend appropriate banking products and services
• Partner with internal specialists to deliver comprehensive financial solutions
• Support branch operations and team initiatives as needed

• Prior frontline banking experience or equivalent customer‑facing experience
• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience, plus one of the following:
  • 1–2 years of experience in Financial Services or Retail/Business Banking, or
  • Equivalent work experience with foundational knowledge of accounting, finance, financial statements, and cash flow
• Knowledge of branch operations preferred
• Ability to complete required training in retail lending, deposit products, and general branch operations within 6–12 months of hire
• Ability to obtain the following within 6–12 months of hire:
  • NMLS certification
  • Registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) through NMLS
• State of Hawai‘i Life & Health Insurance License
• Valid driver’s license; occasional travel may be required

• Job Type: Direct Hire
• Salary: $48,000 – $52,000 annually (based on experience) plus sales incentives
• Schedule:
  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Saturday:
    Rotational basis, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM
