Recruitment Number: 26-0042. The immediate vacancies are with the Department of Agriculture & Biosecurity in Downtown and Department of Land & Natural Resources in Ewa.
Salary: $6,221 to $7,568 per month (SR-24, Step D to I). Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, applicant's qualifications and other relevant factors.
ResponsibilitiesAssist a department director by coordinating various administrative matters and conducting investigations and special studies of departmental problems; prepare reports and recommendations on assigned subjects; assume limited administrative responsibilities as directed; and perform other related duties as assigned. Duties include conducting special studies and analysis of programs; collecting and analyzing data; investigating complaints and infractions of rules and regulations; identifying problems and alternative solutions and their advantages and disadvantages;
developing logical recommendations for a course of action.
- Legal Authorization to Work: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- Education: A bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
One and one-half (1.5) years of professional work experience demonstrating the ability to write clearly and comprehensively reports, read and interpret complex written materials, resolve complex problems, express oneself orally in a clear and persuasive manner, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, and prepare operational and activity reports. - Specialized
Experience:
Two (2) years of professional work experience demonstrating responsibility for planning and coordinating program activities and solving operational problems involving administrative processes and the relationships between programs; including conducting studies and analysis of programs, projects and services to assess effectiveness, adherence to program directives and achievement of goals and objectives, resource needs, cost and benefit factors, and recommending alternative courses of action. - Driver's License: Valid driver's license required at the time of appointment for the immediate vacancies.
