Salary: $3,900 to $4,933 per month (SR-13, Step C to I)

The positions support the examination, determination, and evidence of title to real property or interests therein. Responsibilities include investigating public record offices, determining title history and condition, searching records, abstracting conveyances, determining ownership and liens, noting defects, and preparing evidence of title such as abstracts, certificates, or chains of title.
Key ResponsibilitiesAt the IV level, abstract pertinent information from Land Court Orders, trust deeds, and other legal documents for the preparation of Title Certificates, abstracts, or chains of title; assign and supervise staff in preparing Certificates of Title; maintain files and records; and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- Legal Authorization to Work:
The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State to be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment. - General
Experience:
Two (2) years of progressively responsible work experience involving preparing, reviewing, or extracting information from legal documents and/or records dealing with real property ownership or transactions. - Specialized
Experience:
One year of progressively responsible work experience involved in the examination and analysis of real property ownership records and documents to determine and evidence title to real property. - Substitutions Allowed:
