We’re looking for a Shipping & Logistics Specialist who can be that person.

This isn’t a role for someone who waits for a checklist and calls it a day. We need an organized, resourceful operator who can own the movement of incoming and outgoing shipments, build better systems, stay ahead of documentation and compliance, develop strong supplier and carrier relationships, and keep a lot of moving pieces moving in the right direction.

You’ll coordinate everything from supplies and materials to equipment and vehicles—and when something changes, gets delayed, costs too much, or doesn’t make sense,
you’ll dig in and find the better answer.

secure shipments, accurate paperwork, strong relationships, smart decisions, reliable systems, and no finger-pointing when the pressure is on.

Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments involving supplies, materials, equipment, and vehicles.

Manage delivery schedules across receiving locations and help ensure shipments arrive safely, accurately, and when they’re needed.

Make sure materials are properly packaged, routed, and delivered to the correct destination.

Develop, implement, and maintain an organized shipping and logistics system.

Build and maintain a useful database of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) so critical processes don’t live in somebody’s head.

Look for ways to improve efficiency, consistency, visibility, and execution—not just maintain the status quo.

Prepare, generate, and organize bills of lading, shipping orders, labels, and other required shipping documentation.

Record and report critical shipment information, including weights, charges, job codes, space availability, and discrepancies.

Maintain shipment receipts and provide accurate coding to Accounting for timely processing.

Details matter here. A lot.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers—including backup suppliers—so Alpha has options when plans change.

Work directly with carriers to evaluate shipping methods, routes, rates, and delivery timelines.

Help negotiate shipping and delivery agreements with an eye toward service, reliability, and cost—not simply the cheapest quote.

Research and monitor trade and logistics requirements when Alpha enters new countries or markets.

Help ensure international shipments comply with applicable trade requirements.

Maintain shipping processes consistent with Alpha policies and applicable industry standards.

Assist with the purchase, rental, and leasing of equipment and vehicles.

Help manage associated licensing, permitting, registration titling, and insurance claims.
