As a Airport Security Officer - Cargo in Kahului, HI, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and security of all passengers, staff, and airport facilities. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, engaging with the public, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. Position Type:
Part Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Valid Driver's License

• 21+ years of age
• Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
• Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, passengers, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an airport location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and requesting support from appropriate airport and/or government personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, parking areas, curbside zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
• Control access through designated entry points by monitoring doors and gates, checking credentials as required, and directing visitors to approved check-in and/or processing areas.
• Complete required reports and logs, document unusual activity, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts using radios and/or other approved systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
