Security Officer Entry Control

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

• Mon: 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM
• Wed: 06:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM

• Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors by following site‑specific access control procedures, identification checks, and security‑related protocols appropriate to a utilities location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and help deter unauthorized access to restricted areas, equipment yards, and other controlled locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, buildings, and perimeter areas to observe and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or security‑related issues.
• Support daily operations by documenting activities, reporting incidents, and following post orders, emergency response activities, and established procedures for the location.

• A state, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
