Part Time – Overnight
Pay Rate: $28.86 per hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58.

  Experience:
  
  2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level).
• Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program, or equivalent (credentials required).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Age 22 or older.
• Formal Education, Licenses, and
  
  Certifications:
  
  
  • Certified State law enforcement recruit training.
  • Certified County law enforcement recruit training.
  • Federal law enforcement training.
  • Programs approved by the Director.
  • No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under the Lautenberg Amendment or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings.
• Relevant Attributes: No record of moral turpitude, domestic violence, untruthfulness, or mental or emotional disorders that may interfere with performance of duties.

• Ability to supervise contractor personnel and collaborate with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies, and the public on security disputes and complaints.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Strong moral character and high standards of truthfulness.
• Professional courtesy in interactions with the public and airport staff.
• Willingness to attend court appearances for citations issued on behalf of DOTA.

• Provide customer service and enforce security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, using sound judgment and making appropriate decisions under stressful conditions.
• Follow orders, accept responsibility for actions, and maintain professional conduct.
• Remain alert, attentive, and vigilant; recognize and respond to varied situations.
• Communicate effectively with the public, airport employees, tenants, and security personnel.
• Assist in court appearances when required.

• Mentally and emotionally capable of performing all assigned duties.
• Excellent physical health capable of moderate to arduous exertion such as standing, walking, patrolling, climbing stairs, and running.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 lb. and assist in evacuations.
• Subject to random drug screening and a 12‑panel drug test.
• Proper physical force may be required during official duties.
• Must pass a security background check and a one‑time physical examination within the past six months.
• Correctable visual acuity to 20/30 and normal color vision; hearing at a conversational level.
