As a Law Enforcement Officer:
Armed Patrol Driver
in Kahului, HI
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic government airport location as an armed patrol professional in a driving post. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security‑related incidents, and support travelers and staff with strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $38.00 Hour

Job Schedule: Wed – Sun, 02:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Pre‑Employment Requirements
  • Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Law Enforcement Officer License
  • 22+ years of age
Basic Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional law‑enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
  • Certified state, county, or federal law‑enforcement recruit training program graduate
  • No felony convictions or convictions for abuse of a household member under the Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968 (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(9)) or documented truthfulness infractions in violation of Giglio/Henthorn for federal impeachment proceedings (referring to the decisions in Giglio v. United States, 405 U.S. 105 (1972) and United States v. Henthorn, 931 F. 2d 29 (9th Cir. 1991)).
Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Must be able to supervise Contractor personnel and work effectively with airport management, tenants, other law enforcement agencies and the public on matters relating to security disputes, complaints on the performance, conduct or behavior of subordinate employees.
  • Strong moral character, high standards, and truthfulness.
  • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing in English.
  • Courtesy in interpersonal relationships with the public, airport employees, tenants, law enforcement and security personnel.
  • Ability to take orders, follow instructions, and assume responsibility for one's actions.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement and render immediate, appropriate decisions under stressful conditions.
Physical Requirements and Environment
  • Mentally and emotionally capable of performing all duties required for their assigned post/duties.
  • In good physical health and fully capable of performing normal or emergency duties requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion such as standing, walking, patrolling for an entire shift(s), climbing stairs, running, and self‑defense.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs. (ex. fire extinguisher) over a designated distance.
  • Assist in the safe evacuation of individuals, including carrying a small child or providing support to persons with limited mobility.
  • Subject to a random drug screen.
  • Must be able to exercise physical force, if required, in the execution of official duties.
  • Be able to pass a security background check conducted by the DOTA pass and e.
  • Well‑groomed and neat appearance as officially commissioned representatives of the State.
  • Pass and complete a one‑time physical examination within the past 6 months.
  • Pass a 12‑panel drug test and all future random drug testing.
  • Correctable vision of 20/30 each eye with normal color vision.
  • Able to hear at a normal conversational level; a hearing aid may be used if needed.
