NOW HIRING: ENTRY-LEVEL INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN
Control Freaks Hawaii — Where Smart Tech Meets Real AlohaOahu, Maui, Big Island | Full-Time | Growth Opportunity | Good Vibes Only
So… You’re Not an Expert (Yet). Good.Maybe you’ve never built a full rack. Maybe “DMX” still sounds like a radio station. Maybe your experience is limited to helping a friend wire speakers, tinkering with tech, or just falling down You Tube rabbit holes at 2am.
But something about this work clicks for you.
You like figuring things out. You like working with your hands. You like the idea of building systems that make people go, “Wait… that’s sick.”
That’s who we’re looking for.
Who We Are:Control Freaks Hawaii is Hawaii’s leading provider of lighting control, A/V integration, automation, and smart systems for high-end homes and hotels. We turn complex tech into seamless experiences.
We take pride in doing things the right way. Clean, organized, dialed.
We take our work seriously, not ourselves.
Who Are You:You’re motivated, reliable, and actually want to learn a trade that mixes tech, problem‑solving, and hands‑on work.
You don’t need years of experience — but you do need:- A strong work ethic (show up, stay sharp, don’t disappear).
- Attention to detail (crooked plates and messy wires haunt your dreams).
- A willingness to listen, learn, and improve fast.
- A good attitude (no ego, no drama, just progress).
If you’ve got some experience with tools, wiring, construction, or tech — awesome. If not, but you’re eager and coachable — still awesome.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Assisting with installation of lighting control systems, A/V equipment, speakers, networks, and smart devices.
- Pulling wire, organizing cables, labeling, and learning clean install practices.
- Supporting senior technicians and learning how systems actually come together.
- Keeping job sites clean, organized, and dialed in.
- Gradually taking on more responsibility as your skills level up.
- A strong interest in tech, construction, or hands‑on work.
- Basic familiarity with tools (or willingness to learn quickly).Reliability — if you say you’ll be there, you’re there.
- A positive, team‑first mindset.
- Ability to take direction and apply it.
- You’ll learn a high‑value skillset in a growing industry.
- Work alongside experienced techs who actually teach, not gatekeep.
- Clear path to grow into a skilled technician.
- Competitive pay with room to increase as you level up.
- A solid crew that works hard and laughs along the way.
