This position is for a full‑time Maintenance Tech I to work at Kahului Lani, a 165‑unit affordable housing community in Kahului, HI. Qualified candidates must have 1+ year of related apartment maintenance experience, knowledge and skills in plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance, a CADL license, clean DMV record, reliable transportation, and basic computer knowledge. Salary range: $19.95–$30.40 per hour; hiring range for new employees is generally $19.95–$25.18 per hour, DOE.

EAH develops low‑income multifamily housing, manages more than 222 properties throughout California and Hawai‘i, and plays a leadership role in local, regional, and national housing advocacy efforts.
Responsibilities- Basic plumbing tasks: toilet, faucet, and minor pipe repair.
- Painting work: preparation, sanding, and color matching.
- Electrical repairs: light switch, cords, ballasts, bulbs, and circuit breakers.
- Lock replacement and adjustment, bolt installation, window locks, latches, and keys.
- Screen door repair and replacement, sheetrock repair when needed.
- Detailing turnover units, completing work within five days.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1+ year of related apartment maintenance experience.
- Knowledge and skills in plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
- CADL license, clean DMV record, and reliable transportation.
EAH Housing conducts criminal background checks on all candidates who receive a conditional job offer. Candidates must submit and pass our criminal background requirements. EAH also verifies education and employment history. Discrepancies may delay the background check and affect employment eligibility. Certain roles may require fingerprinting due to legal requirements. If onsite housing is required, any household members over 18 living onsite with the candidate must also undergo a background check and tenant screening.
Successful completion of background check and fingerprinting is a requirement of employment with EAH.
